Log Home Interior

The most Unique Log Structures

The Owner, Dan Nicklason, has been in construction since his early teens. He grew up in a family business where they built homes. In the late 70’s there was a building crunch, work was hard to get at times. Dan quickly learned that he needed to be able to perform all different aspects of the building trade in order to survive the lean times.

In the 80’s, having had a good ten years of hands on experience, he was offered an opportunity to general a job in our home area. The building to be built was a log structure.

Having the experience of running his own business, and all the knowledge he had gained , he was confident and excited to take on yet another new challenge in the construction field. Dan saw it as a new opportunity to design and craft, out of logs, unique and beautiful homes in a trade he loved.

This was a big step of faith because at that time in our area log construction was relatively new, people were intrigued yet curious about this new type of construction.

Now 20 years later log home living is the fastest growing type of construction in the United States. Dan has taken what started out in the 80’s as a small simple cabin to a collection of beautiful Log Castles. He has expanded the way people view the traditional log home.

Dan has continued to keep this a family owned and operated business. Now working together with his son Brian, who’s knowledge of the business is all of what his father had and more with his added ability in CAD design. Not only does he design, but he is the builder, he is the on site contractor who works with his crew to construct your log castle.

Dan works together with our designer and directly with all our customers to provide assistance and education about the log home industry. We offer everything in house to create your dream home. We have no middle man or sales reps in our company. Dan is the owner and Brian is the contractor, and together they share in a commitment to design and build Log Castles that will stand the test of time and tradition.
